Occupational Health and Safety

Safety Culture
We focus on the Company’s safety culture key points, year-round safety promotion, safety leadership and safety principles. We are building an outstanding safety culture with the help of all staff.
Safety and Health Training
To equip employees with the knowledge and skills related to workplace occupational safety, health, and management issues, provide necessary training on management systems, occupational safety and health, fire safety, and emergency response. Additionally, effectively utilize resources to align employees' growth with the company's sustainable development goals.
Health and Safety Risk assessment
Regularly identify hazards and assess the risks related to safety and hygiene in the management system, manufacturing procedures, equipment, or operations, in order to enhance management practices and prevent safety incidents from occurring.
Targets and Action Plans Process
Establish and maintain a process of safety management objectives, targets, and action plans for the effective safety relation implementation. Also have process document for establish, revise, maintain and review safety related objectives, targets, and action plans.
Incidents Investigation and Action Process
To ensure factories can take actions accurately, securely and leally to minimize the impact when a safety incident occurs, process document is in place to ensure emergency reactions, investigations and improvements.
Once an incident occurs, responsible department must to fill out an incident investigation form detailing the incident process, root cause analysis, and improvement measures.
Themes of the Safety ABC Program
Certification supervision and control
Focusing on system and source management, AUO’s factories worldwide all have the ISO 45001 and CNS15506/ TOSHMS certifications. In accordance with the law, each year we monitor and control job exposure risks, biological detection indicators and carry out working environment monitoring and measurement. We also have a tiered health management mechanism in place, which helps strengthen occupational safety.
Safety of high-risk equipment
We have factory damage prevention rules and equipment specifications in accordance with international standards as well as management for equipment identified as riskier.
Health Promotion
AUO is a company that believes in the importance of sustainable talent development. We have worked many Health care programs to employees and so that they can achieve a balance between work and life
Contractor Safety
An e-Contractor management system platform has been established by AUO to expand contractor participation in the coordination organization. The initiatives are aimed at improving safety self-management at work sites.
Safety of high-risk equipment
We have factory damage prevention rules and equipment specifications in accordance with international standards, and new factories are included in the system of High-Risk Equipment safety Certification. Equipment identified as high-risk is included in the requirements of the Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI) and the Conformité Européenne (CE mark) and Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and whole equipment is covered by these safety certification systems to achieve source management and guarantee employee safety.
Health Promotion
AUO is a company that believes in the importance of sustainable talent development and has worked for many years to promote a friendly workplace. Many resources have been invested into our employee health care program to set up related platforms. We hope that employees will not only receive comprehensive physical, psychological and spiritual care but can also ultimately master the ability for self-health management so they can achieve a balance between work and life.
The “Holistic Health Care Plan” is based on the three golden rules of “Health Risk Management”, “Healthy Environment Promotion” and “Health Risk Prediction.” The application of health big data and introduction of hospital resources aim to equip all employees for self-health management and improvement.
